Scolopendra sp., Giant Centipede
These range in size from about 4 to 12 inches. As with all centipedes, their first pair of legs in modified into venomous fangs used to subdue prey.
Giant centipedes make good moms. They curl protectively around their eggs and guard the hatchlings.
