Apple crumble
Ingredients
- Any fruit, for instance two large Bramley (cooking) apples and a handful of sultanas
- 100g self-raising flour
- 50g margarine
- 50g sugar
Oven temperature: 180°C
Method
- Wash, cut and slice the fruit
- Put in dish
- In another dish, rub the margarine into the flour
- Add the sugar, mix
- Cover the fruit with crumble
- Bake for 20 minutes until golden brown
Ideas
- Serve with cream or custard
- Use Bramley apples, and choose from a handful of sultanas, cloves, cinnamon, nutmeg, ...
- Or rhubarb
- Or apples and blackcurrants
- Peaches? Apricots? Pears?
Note
Unused crumble keeps for about 3 weeks in the fridge.
